The super visa is a multiple entry visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian permanent residents or citizens to stay in Canada for up to five years at a time, with a total validity of up to 10 years. In order to be eligible for a super visa, the parent or grandparent must be admissible and pass a medical exam, have Canadian medical insurance coverage of at least $100,000 for one year from the date of entry, and have a written financial agreement from the child or grandchild that meets the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) income requirements.
